There's no solving things when property begins getting destroyed, it causes attention from everyone, but also causes chaos.

Social activism is a good way of spreading awareness to a certain topic or conflict that is not usually brought up in news or media. However, when a human life is at the cost of a social movement, it is way too extreme and at some times contradicting to your point.
