Despite President Joe Biden's significant strides in addressing climate change, a large portion of young voters remains unaware of his environmental accomplishments. Recent findings from a CBS News/YouGov poll reveal a striking disconnect: 59% of respondents under 30 are either completely oblivious or have scant knowledge of Biden's actions to combat climate change. This gap in awareness comes despite the administration's efforts to pass what is considered the most substantial climate bill in U.S. history. The lack of recognition from young voters, a demographic crucial to Biden's 2020 victory, poses a challenge as he seeks to galvanize this base ahead of future elections.
The disconnection extends beyond climate issues. Why might there be a disconnect between Biden's climate achievements and the level of recognition he receives from young voters?
@9M8PK4XLibertarian2wks2W
Because he’s still upholding the policies that previous Democratic candidates placed to “fight” climate change. He’s no more progressive in this area than Al Gore was.
It's honestly frustrating to see how Biden's climate efforts are flying under the radar for so many young voters. He's pushing through some of the most significant environmental policies we've seen, yet it feels like that message isn't getting out there. We really need to ramp up our efforts in spreading the word and making sure everyone knows what's at stake and what's being done about it.
I can't believe so many young folks aren't aware of what Biden has achieved for the environment. It's like, we finally get some solid climate action with the biggest bill in history, and it's flying under the radar for the people who'll benefit most in the long run. We really need to up our game in spreading the word and getting everyone fired up about these wins; it's crucial for keeping the momentum going and making sure we're all pushing in the same direction for more change.

Gaza Isn’t Root of Biden’s Struggles With Young Voters, Polls Show

Young voters are far more likely than other Americans to support Palestinians. But few cite the conflict as a top source of discontent with the president.
